Evasive is a YouTuber who specializes in movie reviews in unique formats.
I’m a recurring guest editor on these videos, creating visual content for backstory segments with archival images, behind-the-scenes footage, and Monty Python-esque paper cutout animations re-enacting events in the story that weren’t caught on camera. These backstory sections require a lot of research and creativity with the visuals since the writing of the source material isn’t likely to be as well documented with photos + videos as the on-set behind-the-scenes of the filmmaking process. I add animations to fill in the gaps. These videos and animations are filled with pop culture references, cartoon sound effects, and memes, with the tone of animations, mockups, and composites designed to match the silly nature of the premise and the comedians’ commentary. A chaotic selection of these clips can be found at the bottom of this page.
These videos are not only a lot of fun, they’re pretty successful, receiving millions of views.
